Junior Research Coordinator

research · Amsterdam · full-time

Do you want to learn everything there is to know about consumer research and play a key role in designing and conducting research for major brands? Do you enjoy working with surveys, data, and smart tools? If so, we’re looking for you.

At Validators, you’ll help address strategic brand and communication challenges for major brands. Together with researchers and consultants, you’ll work daily on projects for Dutch organizations such as Albert Heijn, Schiphol, and Nederlandse Loterij.

“What I liked about starting out as an RC is that you immediately gain insight into how research is designed and conducted. This allows you to quickly build up a lot of knowledge and experience within the field and the organization, making the transition to consultant feel very natural.” – Philine Brandse, Insights Consultant

You ensure that surveys run smoothly. You program questionnaires, test whether everything works as intended, and verify that the incoming data is complete and reliable. You also build and maintain templates and tools that help consultants work faster and more efficiently.

You’ll work closely with consultants and data specialists as part of a team of six, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in research, data, and technology. Whether you ultimately want to advance as a consultant or an analyst, this role will give you a solid foundation on which to build.

What will you do?

As a Research Operations Coordinator, you ensure that research operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities include:

Designing and programming questionnaires for research projects.

Testing questionnaires and verifying that everything is working properly before going live.

Conducting data checks and monitoring the quality of research data.

Developing and maintaining templates, dashboards, and other tools that support the research team.

Monitoring online fieldwork and identifying any anomalies or quality issues.

Supporting your team with the technical and operational aspects of projects.

What do we offer?

A flying start in market research: In a short period of time, you’ll learn how to design and conduct research for major brands and translate the results into insights.

Plenty of opportunities to learn and grow: you'll develop technical and analytical skills and become familiar with new tools, technologies, and AI applications.

Every day, you'll work alongside a team of specialists from whom you can learn a lot.

During your first month, you’ll mainly work at our office so you can quickly find your way around, get to know the team, and be properly trained. After that, you’ll work in a hybrid format: partly from home and partly at the office.

There are many opportunities for professional growth at Validators.

Who are we looking for?

You have an affinity for data, technology, and research.

You work with precision and in an organized manner, and you have an eye for detail.

You're curious, eager to learn, and enjoy quickly mastering new tools and skills.

You take the initiative, contribute ideas on how to make processes smarter and more efficient, and aren't afraid to ask questions.

You're comfortable using Excel and have experience with programming, or you're interested in learning it.

You know how to use AI effectively to work faster and better.

Ideally, you have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in, for example, Communication, Marketing, (Neuro)psychology, Data Science, or a related field, or you are about to graduate.

You must be available for at least 24 hours per week.
